The following workaround works for me:
log in echo 1 | sudo tee /sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters/power_save echo Y | sudo tee /sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters/power_save_controller pkill pulseaudio log out & log in again (so pulseaudio gets restarted)
However just inserting in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf doesn't work. :(
