It was just getting dark when The Beginning of the End hit the speakers. Everyone cheered and the lights came on the stage, which featured bits and pieces of old Zombie stages up until now. Then, everything went dark and Sawdust in the Blood came on. Everybody was cheering, "ZOM-BIE, ZOM-BIE===" and then the intro to American Witch started. All of the band members came on stage wearing cowboy hats and skull masks.=== Mesa Amphitheatre had a sold out crowd of just over 4,000. Rob always enjoys playing in Mesa, apart from our tight curfew here. The happenings onstage were a bit dumbed down from past times I've seen him. No go-go dancers, no fire, only one appearance from that robot from "The Phantom Creeps". But, the music however, was the best I've ever heard Zombie play. Ozzfest was mediocre, but this was amazing. The setlist came out to be:
Intro: The Beginning of the End Intro: Sawdust in Blood
American Witch Demon Speeding Living Dead Girl Creature of the Wheel More Human Than Human Never Gonna Stop Let It All Bleed Out House of 1000 Corpses Super Charger Heaven Foxy, Foxy Thunder Kiss '65 *----------------------------------- Superbeast Dragula *----------------------------------- Lords of Salem American Witch (2nd for video shoot)
At the end of the show after The Lords of Salem, he said he was doing something unorthodox, and he did. He played a song twice. The American Witch is of course, his new single, and they were shooting a video on the tour. Everybody went fucking CRAZY
