I Suggest to try to boot Knoppix CD (it wont touch your diskdrive) http://www.knoppix.net/get.php

Knoppix (Debian based and compatible as Testing/Unstable). can be used as a Boot CD or Installed to the HardDisk.

Xandros is a Commercial Linux Distro, it is based on Debian and they are recruiting beta testers to improove their system.

I hope their work will somehow also contribute to the OSS Projects like XWindow, Debian etc
