[[HardDrive]]

I have a Quantum harddrive Model Fireball_TM_1080A ( SERIAL N:681621129146F - Firmcase Rev: A6B.1T00 )

Bought in Dec 1996, at ASIAN MACHINS, TOULOUSE,FRANCE

Some bad sectors appeared but it was still “useable”. and now it is compleatly stuck. The device has a 3 years warranty, and i want to use it but the shop which sold me is closed definitivly.

Some what is the procedure to have a fixed disk or a new one ?

I look foreward on you, thank you

Ps : my bios doesnt even reconize my hd (and all bios havent the low level format option) one of my friends “repaired” this drive and format it again on an amiga box

ps : from where did u know that i have a hd trouble ? should i return my disk to the manufacterer and use my warenty ? HARDDRIVE : QUANTUM FIREBALL (1.1GB)

This hardrive is sometimes not reconized by my bios and stuck how comes ?

Then is there appz that low level format and mark bad blocks ?

What i do now is try to use it less as possible. Or detect badblocks (w/ the linux badblock command) and format it (linux mkfs.dos).

PC's Sound Cards :

ALS 007 / UNKNOWN SOUNDCARD

TRUST DELUXE 3D....

GUILLEMOT INTERNATIONAL : MAXI SOUND

This model has a midi shipset (mpu401)

Isa slot

The dos driver is a 'config.sys' one

On linux 2.2 this card is seen as a sb pro (8bits) while on windows it works as a 16 bits mode ? How can i make this card work in 16 bits on DOS and Linux ?
