lenovo-g470 : PM is stuck on "Battery: 50% (charging)"

Hi,
as a g470 owner I noticed it wont charge over 50% , unless I remove the battery to drain it all before full reload ...

Is it the expected behaviour ? I am using KDE on debian gnu linux...
