BIOS Flash-update for Fujitsu Siemens current BIOS V1.10:
AMILO AMILO A-6600, A-7600
BFY26011001, BFY26011002
Problems solved:
* Fixed serial port commulication lose data.
* Fixed USB 2.0 pcmcia card performance problem.
Known errors, problems and restrictions:
* If customer upgrades from bios version 1.06 or older the HDD will be
locked if the HDD
password is enabled. Solution: Disable HDD password before flashing.
* Wakeup by scheduler from S4 state does not work.
* Flashing from BIOS 1.05 to any older version freezes the system
after completion.
The user must first remove all power (AC-plug and battery), after
this it is possible to
use the system with the flashed BIOS version.
Additional information:
* If the HDD get locked during bios upgrade the customer can set any
passwords to get access
to the HDD. There is no need to use a master password.
* Systems which are delivered without internal floppy disk drive can
boot from USB floppy disk.
* The USB floppy disk drive will become the first boot device when it
is connected.
* It is mandatory to use this BIOS version with the new CPUs (2400+
and higher with 512KB
2nd Level Cache).
===USERS===
i just patched my bios to 1.10 and the great thing: it seams to fix my pcmcia / [[CardBus]] wlan issue (system freeze when heavy traffic)
i didn't do any longer tests on heating but as long as i monitore it now there is no big change could be it is a little lower but i am not sure... after a while with 100% cpu it's at 75C, then going down slowly to 71C when i keep having 10-20PU my some-hundred-megs download finished successfully without any problems... i'm gonna do some more stress tests to my wlan card
coz I think my graphics card freezing since I upgrade 1.05->1.07
1. boot windows
2. try to use a Direct3D application, for example, play a movie with BSPlayer (which is use DirectShow)
3. Close your notebook (switch into Standby mode)
4. Switch it on again
5. Try to use a Direct3D application
